Your role

As a Solutions Architect, you design and prototype technology solutions that address internal business needs. The responsibilities encompass a range of tasks to optimize internal processes, ensure efficient use of technology, and align IT infrastructure with business goals.

Key responsibilities include
  • Developing high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.

  • Defining technical solutions implemented in NET2GRID with attention to external interfaces.

  • Supervising technical solutions implemented in NET2GRID with attention to internal interfaces.

  • Ensuring the codebase, architectural decisions, and data model create a more stable and maintainable product.

  • Ensure solutions adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

  • Staying updated with emerging technologies and assessing their potential benefits for the organization.

  • Providing technical guidance to Team Leads and Engineers and assisting the Team Leads in delivering solutions according to the specified requirements.

  • Creating and maintaining architectural diagrams of NET2GRID Products/Services.

  • Coordinating with the Product Team, the Director of Engineering & Team Leads defines blocks of work needed to achieve highly scalable and available infrastructure, including technical depth resolution, re-architecture of solutions, and consistency among services.

  • Advising on the agility of delivered functionality (milestone definition, interdependencies identification), the organization of work, and increment in the different sub-teams in coordination with the Team Leads and Director of Engineering.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, business analysts, and project managers.

  • Consulting with other Solutions Architects and the Product Team to ensure that functional requirements are relevant and feasible.

  • Defining non-functional requirements that need to be covered for the new features/products.

  • Assessing feasibility and giving T-shirt size estimations during the lean evaluation process.

Who you are
  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering or Informatics (or similar).

  • Extended experience in IT roles such as software development, systems engineering, or infrastructure management.

  • Several years of hands-on experience in solution architecture, designing and implementing complex systems.

  • Generally, 5-10 years of experience in IT roles such as software development, systems engineering, or infrastructure management.

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and architecture.

  • Strong background in programming languages and development frameworks.

  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Capability to lead and guide technical teams, providing direction and oversight.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and technical writing skills in Greek and English.

  • Fluent English language skills (written and spoken).

  • You are a real team player but still able to work independently.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • You can work in an organized manner.

  • Willingness to learn and continuously expand technical and business skills.

  • Completed military obligations (where applicable).

Nice to have
  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.

  • Project Management skills

  • Having worked in Scrum/Agile environments.

  • Experience in an Agile team role (e.g., Developer, Team Lead, Scrum Master, Tribe/Chapter Lead, Release Train Engineer).

  • Experience working with Product-oriented roles (e.g., Product Owner, Product Manager, etc.)

  • Affinity with the energy transition, smart grid, or smart-home topics.
