Your role
You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
Create cloud infrastructure designs based on solution requirements.
You bring your ideas to the team, discussing and planning their implementation together with the Product Owner.
Responsible for ensuring high availability and acceptable levels of performance of our solutions.
Propose, compare and evaluate different infrastructure options in cooperation with the Cloud Architect.
Explore cutting-edge technologies to improve applications.
Improve storage and infrastructure strategies/processes.
Automate and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines.
Provide training, help and support to other team members.
Liaise with other technical teams and assist in joint projects.
We give you a lot of space to do your own thing within a team that is young, enthusiastic, and values personal contributions. You’ll be a part of a team of highly-skilled engineers and will also work directly with the Cloud Architect and Product Owner. We have a small team but we are growing fast.
Who you are
An experienced cloud software / DevOps engineer who is passionate about modern cloud-based solutions. You have a proven ability to comprehend functional requirements and can translate those insights into scalable solutions. You cherish performance, security, and craftsmanship, while you keep close tabs on IT developments and love to be a front-runner.
Additionally:
You consider unit testing, code reviews and continuous integration as essential elements of software development.
If it'd be possible, you'd automate brushing your teeth.
Have Computer Science or Engineering background.
Deep understanding of the Object-Oriented programming patterns and best practices.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
Hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and best practices.
Deep knowledge of at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean …)
Experience with container hosting and container orchestration.
Usage of IaC tools (TerraForm, Ansible, CDK, Chef, Puppet, Salt, ...).
You have experience in test automation and building CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Linux
Nice to have
You have first hand experience in agile development processes (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban).
Knowledge of SOAP/RESTful APIs design.
You have experience developing in Python, preferably with AWS's API Gateway and Lambda.
